Hand and Fingers Flashcards
Traumatic Amputation
Loss of body part due to accident or injury.
Salter-Harris Fracture
Fracture involving epiphysis of bone.
Crush Fracture
Squeezing of body part between two objects, resulting in broken bone/s.
Boxer’s Fracture
Fracture to head of 5th metacarpal (sometimes also 4th and 3rd), with anterior displacement of fragment.
Finger Dislocation
Bones of finger are moved from normal position, due to injury or accident.
Osteoarthritis
Degeneration of joint cartilage and underlying bone.
Bone Tumour
Neoplastic (abnormal) growth of tissue on bone.
