The Haitian Declaration of Independence declared the country’s independence from French domination. It was a motivational and convincing declaration that stated that in order to keep slavery out of the nation.
Effects of the Haitian Revolution

A Closer Look: Economy
Economy is still non existent. This is because of France’s departure. Without France’s influence, Haiti wasn’t able to re-establish trade connections.

Haitian Constitution
Slavery was abolished by the Haitian Constitution of 1805, which also proclaimed Saint Domingue free from French authority.
Jean-Jacques Dessalines
He replaced Touissant Louverture. He showed no remorse to the French and assisted them in winning the war. He was more radical, removing the white portion of the tricolor flag to represent the fact that whites had no home in Haiti.
Napoleon and the Haitian Revolution
The Haitian Revolution had many international repercussions. It ended Napoleons attempts to create a French Empire in the Western Hemisphere.
