Who is Otto von Bismarck?
Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898) was the Former President of Prussia. He’s known for unifying Germany. Then, Germany became became one of the Prime representations of Nationalism.
How did Otto von Bismarck unify Germany?
He used negative nationalism, propaganda, and wars. Negative nationalism was him using France as a common enemy to start the war that would declare them as a superpower.
What was the Franco-Prussian war?
The Franco-Prussian war started when Bismarck changed a few words in a letter to France, making them feel threatened. France ended up declaring a war that Germany won.
How did he use Nationalism to unify Germany?
His use of Propaganda made the people of Germany feel proud enough to unify together and fight their common enemy, while displaying their extraordinary strength.
Why did Otto von Bismarck go to war against the Catholic Church?
Germany would need a common enemy to fight, and Bismarck chose the Catholic church because of the opposing values they had

After: Germany was unified and a larger nation

Realpolitik was when Bismarck was practical when it came to politics and statesmanship, being realistic instead of optimistic.
