What are the stages to the Hair growth cycle?
A
The 3 stages are Growth Stage, Regression stage and Resting stage.

What occurs in the Growth stage of Hair growth?
A
In this stage the Cells of the Hair Matrix divide and add cells to the base of the hair.
While the cells of the Hair are being pushed to the surface they become Keratinized and Die.

What occurs in the regression stage of hair growth?
A
This is when the hair matrix stops dividing and the Hair Follicle shrinks (Atrophies).

What occurs in the resting stage of hair growth?
A
This is when the old hair root is pushed or falls out and a new growth cycle begins.
Scalp hair is in the growth stage for 2-6 years.

What is the condition in which there is complete or partial lack of hair?
A
This is Alopecia.
