Build up of weight, shorter on the bottom gradually gaining length towards the top
- most often used technique.
- can be used to fill gaps
- 2 types
1. Low to med -> falls at or below occipital bone, 1-45 degrees, most aggressive
2. Med to high -> falls above occipital bone, 46-89 degrees
