H Bio Midterm Flashcards
Interphase
Chromosomes duplicated in nucleles
Prophase
Centrosomes spread apart making mitotic spindle,
Sister cromatids form, on spindle fibers they move back and fourth. nuclear envelope deteriorates.
Meta phase
The chromosomes move to center b/c of the movement.
Ana phase
Sister chormatids release (fully developed) and move to each side of poles that go farther apart.
Telophase
Chromosomes become less dense and daughter nucleus forms
Cytokinesis
Membrane actualy spilts.
Benign Tumor
When tumor hasn’t left original site
Malignant Tumor
When tumor leaves original site
Metastasis
When cancer cells leave original site
Binary Fission
A means of asexual production, when parent divided into two genetically individuals of about equal size.
