Q

What screening can we do for ovarian cancer?

A

If there is a fam hx, we can do genetic counseling to see an individuals risk of developing ovarian cancer in their lifetime particuarly if the fam hx starts young.

Otherwise, with no fam hx, there is no great screening tests currently to watch for ovarian cancer like there is with cervical and breast cancer. CA-125 is not a great screener and is used more to monitor progress of treatment rather than detection.
