what are the 4 features a group has?

what is a collective identity?
when a team can be recognised easily as they are wearing the same uniform/ colour.
this develops affiliation which creates motivation and a belonging.
what is interaction in a group?
the way the players work together to complete a task,
how many types of communication are there? and what are they?

in what way does having a shared goal or purpose benefit a team?
achieving a shared goal/ target helps to bind people together so they commit to each other and work hard to achieve the goal, this raises motivation.
what are the 4 aspects of Tuckman’s model?
- Forming
- Storming
- Norming
- Performing
what is forming (tuckman’s model)?
getting to know each other, strengths/weaknesses, will people fit in?
- Developing social relationships.
- figure out the goal.
what is the storming phase of Tuckman’s model?
infighting and conflict as people establish roles/ positions.
- confrontation with leaders.
what is the norming stage of Tuckman’s model?
this is when conflicts are resolved. develop cooperation
what is the performing phase of Tuckman’s model?
common goals, success, team support each other and understand their roles.
- motivation and enjoyment is high.
- respect for other members and leaders is high.
