What cases are applicable for grievance?
A
- non-implementation of policies, practices and procedure on economic and financial issues
- non-implementation of policies…on recruitment, promotion, transfer, etc
- inadequate physical working conditions
- poor inter-personal relationships and linkages
- protest on appointments
- all other matters giving rise to employee discontentment other than those above

What are the exempted cases?
A
- Administrative disciplinary cases
- Sexual harassment
- Union related issues and concerns

What is the time frame for the grievance mechanism?
A
Filing- 3 days; Appeal - 5days; Investigation- 10 days; Decision - 5days

What case can be filed if the head of the grievance committee fails to take action?
A
Neglect of duty

What principles must be observed?
A
- The employee/aggrieved party must be put at ease
- The employee/aggrieved party must be encouraged to speak
- Privacy in discussion
- The case shall be heard fully
- A definite action shall be reached

What are the grievance protocol?
A
- Discussion with the immediate supervisor (written or oral) - result is 3 days
- Appeal to the higher supervisor (5 days appeal; 5 days result)
