Nominal scale
A
• This type of variable consists of different arbitrary categories
as the outcome variable
• Categorical data
• Arbitrary: can’t be ordered or distinctly valued

Ordinal scale
A
- Type of variable where the order of values is significant
- However, the distance between values is unknown
- Rating: Hard, medium, easy

Interval scale
A
Values on the measure can be ordered AND the differences between units (intervals) on the measure are equal and meaningful

Ratio scale
A
Same as interval scale but now you have meaningful ratio’s between units; has absolute zero
