Graphs Flashcards
What does the gradient represent
Rise/run
What part of the graph shows the most of what that gradient equals
The steepest gradient
How do you find the distance travelled of a graph
Area under graph = distance travelled
D = A1 + A2
Which directions on a graph show a positive/negative quantity
Positive - Up and Right
Negative- Down and left
How do you find the displacement of a graph
Area under graph = displacement
Δs = A1 + A2
How do you write units on graphs?
NOT WITH BRACKETS but a forward slash between the quantity and its unit
How much of each axis of the graph should you use?
At least 50% if possible do 2/3
What symbol do you use to plot points on a graph?
An X or a dot
What must a LOBF or COBF look like?
Should be well rounded
The summation of distances above it should roughly equal to the summation of distances below
The COBF should be a smooth curve
