What are archaic inflections with an example?
Verb inflections that have fallen out of use “It pleaseth me” instead of “It pleases me”
What is an example of an unusual past tense formation? Explain why
“My life is run its course” used to be used but is now “has” run its course as the auxilary verb used now
How have personal pronouns changed? What does this mean?
“Thou” “Ye” and “thee” arent used anymore. Means there is no distinction between singular and plural “you”
How has negative formation changed?
Previously “I see not” would be used but now we use auxilary verbs such as “Do” and “don’t”
How has interrogative formation changed?
We also use more auxilary verbs now. Such as “seest thou?” becomes “Did you see?”
