COMPLEX SENTENCE
A main clause with one or more subordinate clauses
E.g.
When the cake is brown, take it out of the oven
NOUN PHRASE
Subject+object
“The dog”
Premodified= The wet dog
Postmodified= The dog that is wet
Pre+Post= The wet Dog that likes food
SYNDETIC LIST
One co ordinating conjunction
E.g.
Apples, grapes and pears.
POLYSYNDETIC LIST
Conjunction between each word
E.g.
Apples and grapes and pears
ASYNDETIC LIST
No conjunctions
