Noun clause
Subordinate clause that functions as a noun
May act as a subject, direct or indirect object, or object of a preposition
Introduced by signal words such as: that, whether, if, who, whom, whose, which, what, when, where, why, how, whoever, whomever, whichever, and whatever
Subordinate clause
Same as a dependent clause
A group of words with a subject and a verb that cannot stand alone in a sentence
Gerunds
a verb form ending in “-ing” that acts as a noun
What is Parallel Structure and how do you use it?
Parallel structure is often used when listing something. It is when two or more elements mimic each other in a sentance.
Parallel Structure can be used with coordinate elements, correlative conjunctions, and a series.
