Positions of feet
A
All (except 1st) with the working foot placed on the toe and with the supporting foot flat. (Same as for Highland theory)

Bourrée devant
A
- A movement consisting of three small steps on the balls of the feet travelling to the side away from the starting foot. 3rd, towards 2nd, 3rd (front-side-front).
- Counted: 1 & 2

A
- A movement consisting of three small steps on the balls of the feet travelling to the side away from the starting foot. 3rd rear, towards 2nd, 3rd rear (behind-side-behind).

Assemble
A
A movement of elevation begun on the ball of one foot and finished by landing simultaneously on the balls of both feet in 3rd or 5th.

Changes
A
- A movement of elevation begun with the weight of the body on the balls of both feet in 3rd or 5th, and finished by landing on the balls of both feet in 3rd or 5th with the other foot in front.
- During the elevation there is no extension towards 2nd aerial position.

Holding the skirt
A
The skirt is held between the finger and thumb of each hand, slightly in front of the body line, gently curved below the waistline towards 4th intermediate.

Step to the right with RF flat, place LF to 3rd rear position on 1/2 point or ball, bending both knees.
