What is done in a follow up appointment to a flare of gout ?

A
  • Measure serum urate
  • Assess lifestyle or comorbidities (CVD & CKD risk)
  • Discuss that excess body weight/obesity or excess alcohol may exacerbate gout
  • DIscuss pros and cons of ULT
