Form of government where power is held by one central government (Saudi Arabia)

Voluntary associations of independent states That joined together for a common purpose (US and UN)

Form of government where power is shared by one central and many local governments. (Israel)
What type of citizen participation is autocratic?
Government in which one person has unlimited power and the citizen has little or no role in government (n Korea and Zimbabwe)
What type of citizen participation is oligarchic?
Government by a small group. the citizen has limited power. Example: China
What type of citizen participation is democratic?
Government in which the power is given to the citizens, who exercise that power through elections. Example: US, India, Japan.
What is a direct direct democracy?
People vote directly on issues.
What is a republic democracy?
People elect leaders to make decisions.
What is a parliamentary democracy?
System of government where executive power is given to a cabinet of legislative members. May also have a prime minister elected by the legislature. Example: UK
What is a presidential democracy?
System of government in which executive power example: president is independent of the legislative branch. Citizens go for legislative and executive leaders. Example: US

Unitary and democratic parliamentary all citizens vote to elect leaders. People have personal freedoms

Unitary and autocratic. Monarchy – ruled by royal family. Personal freedoms are limited, especially for woman, who are not allowed to vote.
