Large and small states could not agree on size of Congress.
How did the 2 houses settle the conflict during constitutional convention?
Framers decide each state would have two representatives in senate and each states house members determined by population.
Why did the two houses check each other?
Keeps congress from being two powerful. Both houses must agree on bill.

What is a session?
The period of time each year when congress meets and talks about laws.
When does the first session begin?
January of odd numbered years
How long do some sessions last?
Until fall.
What is a term?
An assigned period period of time for an elected official to serve.
