State describes a legal entity, nation is an ethnic term which refers to races or other large groups of people, country is geographic and it refers to a particular place, region, or an area of land

What are the four characteristics of a state?
Population, territory, sovereignty, government
What is the force theory?
One person or a small group of people claimed control of an area and forced the people to subject to that person’s rule
What was the evolutionary theory?
People claim that that stat developed naturally out of the early family.
The divine right theory?
God created the state and had given those of royal birth the divine right to rule , the people had to obey their ruler as they would to god
The social contract theory
People agreed to give up to the state as much power as was needed to promote the safety and well being of all
