Government in which one person has all the power. Two types, monarchy and dictatorship

A
King or queen rules the country, come to power through family line. Used to have all power now share power

One leader has absolute control over everyone

A
Citizens hold all the Power
Two types
Representative: citizens elect president, representatives and do the day-to-day work, can vote for a new one.
Direct democracy: no representatives. Citizens do day-to-day work.

A
Small group of people have all power. Sometimes means only certain groups have political rights.

Small military officers have power
