Good governance is the key component of the economic transformation and with the present government focus on “ minimum Government and maximum governance”.

It covered 10 sectors and 58 indicators in 2021
2019 there were 50 indicators.

Launched on the occasion of good governance day 25th December 2019.

• Toppers in various sectors.

1. Gujarat in group A with 5/10 sectors.
   * Followed by maharashtra.
   * Goa highest incremental change.
2. Madhya Pradesh in group B States.
   * Jharkhand highest increment change.
3. Among northeast state Himachal Pradesh top.
   * Mizoram highest incremental change
4. In union territories Delhi tops.
   * Dadar Nagar haveli highest incremental change.

• GGI of J&K in 2021-19 saw increase of 3.7 %.

Answer 4

Assess 20 district J&K on 10 governance sectors and 58 indicators with 116 data items.

• Jammu top the composite index in Jammu division ;Rajouri at 10th rank.
• Pulwama top the composite index in Kashmir division; shopian 10th rank.
