Daily, Weekly, Monthly GMDSS tests?

Daily

• Internal test of vhf/mf-hf
• check papaper navtex and inmarsat
• test batteries off/on load ensure voltage falls no more than 10% of manual
• Record GMDSS log book

Weekly

• External test call to coast station or ship
• Record GMDSS log book

Monthly

• EPIRB/SART inspected for damage and tested per manufacturers instruction
• Ships antenna/Battery condition
• Survival craft radio tested on working channel

Question 3

Minimum standards of maintenance must be two out of three options for VHF, MH/HF, Inmarsat
