Gluteal Region Flashcards

1
Q

Gluteus maximus

A

Origin: Area of ilium posterior to posterior gluteal line, posterior aspect of sacrum & coccyx, sacrotuberous ligament
Insertion: Tubercle iliotibial tract on tibia via ITB, gluteal tuberosity of femur
Action: Hip extension, external rotation, abduction
