Glucocorticoids - MOA

A

1) Inhibit interleukins and NF-κB (no activation of T cells).
2) Suppress cytokine synthesis in helper T cells.
3) Inhibits release of infl mediators
4) Stabilization of lysosomes in neutrophils
5) Vasoconstriction and decreased capillary permeability
6) Decrease macrophage activation
7) Suppression of lymphoid tissue, reduced circulating lymphocytes
8) Increase levels of RBCs, platelets, PMNs.
