what is a peripheral disease?
aka PAD
Diseases of blood vessels outside the heart and brain. Often caused by a build up of fatty deposits in the arteries.

Hyper/hypocalcaemia?
-Calmaemia is to do with your Calcium intake.
Hyper- too much with symptoms like: bone pain, osteoporosis, fatigue, confusion, memory problems, depression, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, weight loss,
Hypo- too little with symptoms like: muscle cramps, paraesthesia, tetany and carpopedal spasm
parasthesia?
pins and needles due to damage to peripheral nerves
what is tetany
a condition marked by intermittent muscular spasms, caused by malfunction of the parathyroid glands and a consequent deficiency of calcium.
what is carpopedal spasm
involuntary muscle spasm
what is DKA or Ketoacidosis
Diabetic ketoacidosis is a complication of diabetes .
Occurs when your body produces high levels of blood acids called ketones.
Condition develops when your body can’t produce enough insulin.
Insulin is important in helping blood glucose — a major source of energy for your muscles and other tissues — enter your cells.
Without enough insulin, your body begins to break down fat as fuel.
This produces a buildup of ketones leading to diabetic ketoacidosis if untreated.
what is the Viscera?
the internal organs in the main cavities of the body, especially those in the abdomen, e.g. the intestines.

what are pseudomonas
Pseudomonas is a common type of bacteria usually found in soil and water. It rarely causes problems in people with healthy lungs. It rarely causes problems in people with healthy lungs.
