cartilage surface of joint ends and meets with bone

section that unite forming a joint
Atrophic
atrophied part was at a normal size prior to dimunation
Autologous
biologic tissue from patients own body used to surgically replaced damaged tissue
Avascular necrosis
bone tissue death due to interruption of blood supply. A.K.A osteonecrosis, bone infarction
Avulsion Fraction
fracture from a ligament or tendon pulling off part of bone due to abrupt muscle contraction or stretch
Acetabulum
socket of lateral side of pelvis which articulates with head of femur
Acromion
lateral condensation site for lateral and posterior 2/3 of deltoid muscle
Anatomic Neck
distal to humeral head and at an oblique angle of humeral shaft. Epiphyseal plate joining the humeral head
Arthritis
Painful inflammation and stiffness of joints due to loss of cartilage
