Glomerlonephritis, nephrotic syndrome?

A

syndrome consists of triad of proteinuria, low serum albumin, oedema. Due to the hypoalbuminaemia, the liver tries to compensate and causes hyperlipidaemia.

A

consists of triad of hypertension, proteinuria, haematuria. Pores in the podocytes allow protein and red blood cells through.

A

FBC, U&Es + creatinine,

LFTs (check albumin),

lipid profile,

complement studies,

antibodies,

urine (for protein and RBCs),

renal tract USS to exclude other pathology.
