A transnational corporation
What is globalisation?
Globalisation is the process by which countries and people are becoming more connected. Improvements in transport and comunicaction enable people goods and information to be moved between countries. Globalisation has allowed lots more company to operate in other countries and these are called TNCs.

Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Quaternary

What does Preindustrial mean?
Preindustrial means a period of time before a country goes through an Industrial Revolution.
What does industrial mean?
Industrial means the time of an industrial revolution when a countries economy relies heavily on manufacturing.
What does post industrial mean?
Postindustrial means the period of time following the industrialisation when a countries economy makes more money from the tertiary sector. (Office workers)
What are food miles?
Food miles is how far food travels before itβs eaten. E.g. A pineapple might have to travel 3700 miles from Ghana before it is getting to our mouths. πβββ> π.
Some foods might not grow in the UK so they have to be imported from other countries. This is not good for the environment.
