What is globalisation?

A

Globalisation is the process by which countries and people are becoming more connected. Improvements in transport and comunicaction enable people goods and information to be moved between countries. Globalisation has allowed lots more company to operate in other countries and these are called TNCs.

What are food miles?

A

Food miles is how far food travels before it’s eaten. E.g. A pineapple might have to travel 3700 miles from Ghana before it is getting to our mouths. πŸβ€”β€”β€”> πŸ˜‹.
Some foods might not grow in the UK so they have to be imported from other countries. This is not good for the environment.
