More people in the area = more traffic = higher risk of accidents = more pollution.
More demand for local services = more demand for health services = lack of space in schools.
More houses built = more habitats destroyed.
Advantages to the UK due to the factory?
More jobs created = more people attracted to area = multiplier effect.
Improved transport = new rail station nearby.
House prices rise = 4700 new houses built.
