- we are mixing and merging our cultures together as one

how was humans we all link together and join as the human race.

- the process of learning how to be human beings
- the way that we learn the culture,norms,values of our society
- we must learn to be fully functioning human beings

people who help us learn the culture of our society

family, parents, media, work place, religion, royalty, goverment, politics, teachers , education, friends , peers

1- primary socialisation?
A
Agent = family
Age = 0-4
- most vital stage = take in lots of information in order to develop.
- we learn most/all our basic life skills at this age and very impressionable
-we need primary to build on secondary socialisation

2- secondary socialisation
A
- Agent = people outside of families
- 4 years onwards
- we learn our culture from outside the family
- start to become more independent
- teaches us things family cant

A
- when we learn what is ‘acceptable’ masculine or feminine behaviour.
- what your society expects of you due to your sex
