What are transnational organised crimes?
A
a crime committed by a global criminal organised e.g mafia, that operates in more than one country. e.g trafficking, money laundering and more recently, cybercrime.

Why is globalised crime hard to control?
A
- it crosses borders, so it is unclear whose responsibility is is to police it
- they are highly secretive
- different countries have different laws

Why is globalised crime hard to study?
A
- secretive so would have to use covert participant observation which would be dangerous

How does trading illegal drugs and arms cause social problems?
A
- health consequences
- changes in social behaviour
- funding of terrorism or war with profits as they make billions of dollars annually

A
moving people around illegally for exploitation
