the internet has revolutionised communications and enabled anyone to have access to vast amounts of information

supertankers- made it easier to move oil and liquid cargo
containerism- made shipping faster more efficient especially perishable items
For australia it can mean that perishable items can be traded easily between countries, faster and more efficient

A transactional corporation is a large business organisation with home base in one country but operates in another
Many tac’s are wealthier than some countries. The world’s largest 500 companies control over 70% of world trade

bring much needed money into companies create jobs for local population bring in technology and knowledge invest in facilities such as road links develop links with other countries

most profit returns to the company’s hq located in a developed country
many jobs involve skill so jobs don’t go to local workers
locals often not trained to use the technology
improved transport might not benefit wider population
poor record of pollution and worker safety
goods too expensive for people in developing countries
