Even though India is becoming modernised, Hinduism is growing along side it. - globalisation has created scientific jobs in India/ IT Pharmaceutical. - however even with the increase in science only 5% lost their faith in Hinduism.

Religious branches that draw on extreme and traditional views. E.g. Protestant Christians. - seek return to basic fundamentals of their faith.
Arises when these traditions are being threatened in modern society.
