What is Global Change?
Global Change is the human induced transformation of the global environment
What is Environment?
A complex range of external conditions, physical and biotic, in which an organism lives which includes water, soil, climate and food supply.
What are the biggest global climate change events going on in earth right now?
CO2 increased 40% more in our atmosphere, extreme weather, sea level rising, energy crisis, population explosion, loss of biodiversity, world hunger and reduction of stratospheric ozone layer.
List the common characteristic of global issues.
- global or large-scale regional effect
- persistent
-Results in dramatic events or series of events that capture world wide attention - And issues that are inter related or connected to other global issue.
Why do we need an inter-disciplinary approach for addressing global issues?
Global issues have no simple solution so we need to have meaningful solution based on interdisciplinary knowlegde to form the necessary foundation to fight the challenges towards solutions moving foward.
What is institution?
Institutions is defined as the elemental structures required for the functioning of a society. Emodies different norms, values and roles that society believes is necessary for our continued existince.
