APU Fire (In Flight)
- APU-Off
- APU DISCH handle-CONFIRM AND PULL
After 10 seconds and APU FIRE stays on: - APU DISCH handle-TURN to discharge firex bottle.
After an additional 60 seconds and APU FIRE stays on: - APU DISCH handle-UNLOCK
- APU DISCH handle-TURN in the opposite direction to discharge other firex bottle.
APU Fire (On Ground)
- APU-Off
- APU DISCH handle-Pull
- APU DISCH handle-TURN to discharge firex bottle
- APU DISCH handle-UNLOCK
- APU DISCH handle-TURN
CONFIG AUTOPILOT
- Takeoff-DISCONTINUE immediately
EMER PWR ONLY
- Gen 1,2,3,4 - OFF / Reset one at a time
DUAL ENGINE OUT
- RAT (if not deployed) - DEPLOY then stow handle
- Target Airspeed - 200 KIAS until ready for RELIGHT
L (R) ENG FIRE (In Flight)
- Affected thrust lever-CONFIRM & IDLE
- Affected ENGINE RUN-CONFIRM & OFF
- Affected DISCH handle-CONFIRM & PULL
After 10 seconds and L (R) ENG FIRE stays on: - Affected DISCH handle-TURN to discharge firex bottle
After 45 seconds and L (R) ENG FIRE stays on: - Affected DISCH handle-Turn to opposite direction and discharge other firex bottle.
L (R) ENG FIRE (On Ground)
- Thrust levers-IDLE
- L and R ENGINE RUN-OFF
- Affected DISCH handle-PULL
- Affected DISCH handle-TURN to discharge firex bottle
- Affected DISCH handle-TURN to opposite direction and discharge other firex bottle
L (R) REVERSER UNLKD
- Affected thrust lever-CONFIRM & IDLE
- Affected ENGINE RUN-CONFIRM & OFF
- Airspeed-NOT MORE THAN 170 KIAS
CABIN ALT
- Oxygen masks / smoke googles-DON /100%
- Crew communications-ESTABLISH
- PASSENGER OXYGEN-OVERRIDE
- PASS SIGNS-ON
- EMER LIGHTS-ON
- Descent-INITIATE to 9,000 feet or lowest safe altitude, whichever is higher
- Thrust levers-IDLE
- FLIGHT SPOILER-DEPLOY SMOOTHLY TO FULL THEN MAX
EMERGENCY DESCENT
- Oxygen masks / smoke goggles-DON / 100%
- Crew communications-ESTABLISH
- PASSENGER OXYGEN-OVERRIDE
- PASS SIGNS-ON
- EMER LIGHTS-ON
- FLIGHT SPOILERS-DEPLOY SMOOTHLY TO FULL THEN MAX
BRAKE OVHT
- Airspeed-NOT MORE THAN 200 KIAS
- Landing gear lever-DN
allow brakes to cool before landing
GEAR
- Landing gear lever-DN
MLG BAY OVHT
- Airspeed-NOT MORE THAN 200 KIAS
- Landing gear lever-DN
NORM BRAKE FAIL
AFTER TOUCHDOWN
2. PARK / EMER BRAKE handle-PULL GRADUALLY UNTIL STOPPED
PARK / EMER BRAKE ON
- Takeoff - DISCONTINUE IMMEDIATELY
Stall Recovery
- Autopilot-DISCONNECT if engaged
- Pitch attitude-LOWER to reduce angle of attack
- Thrust Levers-MAX THRUST
- Flight Spoiler lever-RETRACTED
- Roll attitude-WINGS LEVEL
After airspeed increasing and stall warning indications removed: - Pitch attitude-INCREASE
Unreliable Airspeed
- Autopilot-DISENGAGE
- Autothrottle-DISCONNECT
- FD-OFF / DISREGARD
If below safe altitude: - Pitch-Set:
12.5 degrees (below 10,000ft)
7.5 degrees (above 10,000ft) - Thrust levers-MAX THRUST
- FLIGHT SPOILER lever-RETRACTED
- Landing gear-UP
- SLAT / FLAP configuration-RETRACT to IN/O stages
- Climb-TO A SAFE ALTITUDE
GROUND PROXIMITY Warning (PFD annunciation)
- Thrust levers-MAX THRUST
- Go-Around-PRESS
- Flight spoiler lever-RETRACTED
- Autopilot-DISCONNECT and assume manual control
- Pitch attitude-MAX PRACTICAL to achieve a speed of not less than low speed cue
WINDSHEAR WARNING (Red PFD annunciation and associated aural warning)
- Thrust levers-MAX THRUST
- Go-Around-PRESS
- Flight spoiler lever-RETRACTED
- Autopilot-DISCONNECT and assume manual control
- Pitch attitude-FOLLOW ESCAPE GUIDANCE
Loss of All DCPC Power
- EMER DC PWR-OVRD to tie ESS TRUs to SPDAs (DC ESS and BATT BUS)
Post-Shutdown Engine Tail Pipe Fire
- Affected ENGINE RUN-OFF
- ENGINE START-L (R) CRANK until ITT is 150 C or less, or flame at engine tailpipe is reported out, or starter limit
Bleed air is unavailable, or tail pipe fire indications persist: - Emergency Evacuation Procedure-Accomplish
Stabilizer Trim Runaway
- MASTER DISC-PRESS & HOLD
- Both STAB CH1 and CH2-OFF
- MASTER DISC-RELEASE
Unplanned Ditching or Forced Landing
Below 10,000 feet AGL:
1. DITCHING-ON
Rejected Takeoff Before Achieving V1
Simultaneously:
1. Thrust levers-IDLE
2. Wheel brakes-APPLY max braking until a safe stop
3. Thrust reverser(s)-APPLY maximum; consistent with directional control
SMOKE or FIRE - any SMOKE Warning Msg and/or Visible Smoke or Fire
- Oxygen masks / smoke goggles-DON / EMERGENCY
- Crew communications-ESTABLISH
- PACK CONTROL-HIGH
- BLEED / AIR COND RECIRC-OFF
- PRESSURIZATION, AUTO / MAN-MAN
- PRESSURIZATION, MAN ALT-UP to increase cabin altitude
