(collaborative initial glaucoma treatment study): med vs trab with similar outcomes after 9 years. If worse baseline fields, trab is better.
• Betaxolol:
better for COPD/asthma.
• Fuch’s heterocromic iridocyclitis:
chronic low grade inflammation, unilateral. Hard to eradicate inflammation completely. Iris atrophy (diffuse); small stellate KP, early cataract, elevated IOP, absent/minimal synechia, chorioretinal scarring, retinal periphlebitis. Histology shwos plasma cells, macrophages, lymphocytes in iris and ciliary body. Possible association with toxoplasma, CMV, HSV, rubella.
