[Chronic glaucoma]flow obstruction in trabecular meshwork of the AC w increase of intra ocular pressure
Secondary glaucoma
Can b either open angle or narrow angle type
Occurs due to something else [like disease/trauma]… interferes w aqueous flowing out of eye
Angle closure glaucoma
Increase in iop… obstruction of angle structure of the eye near the root of iris
More common in women - likely to see Halos
Congenital/infantile glaucoma
Infantile eyeball distends bc of elevated iop- eyes becomes enlarged - photophobia- excessive tearing - cloud cornea
Normal tension glaucoma
PTs have iop in normal range but still lose field of vision
