central retinal artery occlusion

a serious eye condition that occurs when the central retinal artery, the eye’s main blood vessel, is blocked

20 mins is all that retina can take w/o oxygen b4 permanent dmg sets in [pt likely to go blind if occluded for 2-4+ hrs]
