later filtered down to 4640 matched men and 156 matched women

Method/Procedure

A

Content analysis - gathered from the correctional service of Canada’s automated database.

  • data was analysed using statistical analysis software
  • offenders divided into 2 groups: employed and unemployed
  • offenders in employed group matched to unemployed group. (4640 men, 156 women)
