- Autoimmune destruction of exocine glands (salivary and lacrimal)
- Dry eyes and mouth
- More prevalent in women
- Increased risk of lymphoma
- Systemic disease
- Fatigue
- Arthralgia/Myalgia
- Gland enlargement
- Raynaud phenomenon
- Vasculitis
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Oral changes (angular chelitis, bumps on corner of mouth)

A
- T cells react against some AG in gland, immune complexes form, gland is destroyed
- Genetic predisposition

A
- Supportive and system based
- Oral
- Adequate hydration
- Scrupulous dental hygeine
- Cholinergic agents (stimulate saliva)
- Eye
- Lubricating solutions
- Systemic
- Steroids
