Doxycycline, azithromycin (also ciprofloxacin or TMP/SMX) for severely ill or hospitalized pts

Prevention (proper food holding practices, hand washing)

Metronidazole followed by intraluminal agent (eliminates intraluminal cysts) like Paromomycin or Idoquinol
Giardia lamblia
