nonsegmented, Fusion peplomer, Hemagglutinin attachment, Neuraminidase release, fragile and distorted in images.

one antigenic type: life long immunity

Respiratory human spread contagious -7days.

local replications and viremia systemic involvement

Helicobacter Pylori

A

gram neg, rod, motile polar flagella, **urease pos, ** catalase, oxidase pos.

Human, oral fecal lifelong infection.

  • mucinase: hydrolyzes mucopolysaccharide substances
  • phospholipase: hydrolyses phophslips
  • urease, breaks urea to Co2 and NH3. ammonia neutralizing gastric acid and damages epitheliaum.
  • Cytotoxin associated gene (CagA) destro epethilial cell sytoskeleton
  • Type IV secretion system assists in injecting CagA to epithelial cells
  • LPS. inflammatory response infiltration with PMN and mononuclear cells
  • exopsed epithelial further destroyed by gastric digestive enzymes and acid.
  • chrinic superficia gastritis
  • peptic ulcer
  • lymphoproliferative MALT
  • chrnic atrophic gastritis -> gastric adenoma (CagA strains)

not found in stool - stain biopsy. Ag monoclonal Ab not specific. 90% sero positive. Urease breath test radioactive urea expire Co2.
