- new to process
- starting to feel overwhelmed
- thinking about additional services and assistance
- caregiving for 6-9 months
- often looking for help from others
- good time to research what is available

A
- feeling overwhelmed
- family dynamics play a part
- resentment mixed with guilt and helplessness (feeling that they cannot provide enough)
- own health starts to diminish
- care has been provided for sometime
- fatigue may compromise the care they are able to provide

- identify services
- respite care (temp custodial care at SNF)

- end of caregiving
- person has passed away or person goes to inpt facility
- guilt
- found satisfaction and now are feeling a loss
- do not know what to do with their time now
- no longer able to care for loved one
- feelings of grief and loss often accompany this stage

- bereavement process involvement
