1. Antacids- to neutralize acid (Maalox, Mylanta, Tums, Milk of Mag)
2. Anticholinergics- to decrease acid (more for motility)
3. Histamine (H2) inhibitors- to decrease acid (cimetidine, famotidine, nizatidine, ranitidine)
4. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)- to decrease acid (lansoprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.)
5. Mucosa protective agents- to protect against acid
6. GI motility stimulants- to decrease distention which then decreases acid
7. Antibiotics and other meds- to counter Helicobacter pylori bacteria
