Q

How are metamorphic rocks made

A

They dont melt, but the minerals they contain are changed chemically, forming metamorphic rocks. Sometimes, metamorphic rocks are formed when rocks are close to some molten magma/ lava, and so get heated up. However metamorphic rock are not made from melting rock

Q

How are sedimentary rock made

A

They are formed when sediments are deposited out of ice, wind, and water flow carrying the particles in suspension. It mainly occurs when weathering and erosion breaks down into a rock into loose material

Q

How are igneous rocks made

A

It is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. Igneous rock may form with or without crystallisation, either below the surface as intrusive rock or on the surface as extrusive
