Types of Photographs
ground, oblique ariel, satellite, vertical ariel
Topographic map
Topographic map
A map that shows the surface features of an area. (Lines close together show cliff/steep areas, lines far apart show flat areas, or slow rise areas)
Synoptic chart
Weather map that uses isobars and other symbols to show the movement of weather systems and patterns of temperature and rainfall. (Red lines with humps show warm fronts)(Blue lines with triangles show cold front)
Warm Fronts
Warm fronts often bring stormy weather as the warm air mass at the surface rises above the cool air mass, making clouds and storms. Warm fronts move more slowly than cold fronts
Cold Fronts
winds become gusty, there is a sudden drop in temperature, and also heavy rain, sometimes with hail, thunder, and lightning

A thematic map that uses tones or colors to represent spatial data as average values per unit area.
