Q

Steps from source to mouth.

A

River starts from the source where it is narrow and shallow. It is in the upper course where land is steep. Vertical erosion is most common in the upper course. As it moves to the middle course, the land starts to get flatter, wider and deeper. This is when lateral erosion becomes more common. As it moves to the lower course, the land becomes extremely flat, and wide. Lateral erosion is most dominant, and land is not steep at all.
