what information to include in a genogram?
> at least 2 generations or more
living or death
name, gender, date of birth, date of death of each person
life events
chronical illnesses
social behaviors
nature of family relationships, emotional relationships and social relationships
abuse or substance abuse
Some genograms can also include information on disorders
running in the family, for example, alcoholism, depression,
diseases, alliances and living situations.
