If odema - furesomide
Immunosupression for nephritic
AKI
Treat hypokalaemia
Treat underlying cause
Stop nephrotoxic drugs
Dialysis if k+ uncontrolled
Cystitis
Trimpethoprim or nitrofuratoin or cefalexin
Pyelonephritis
Ciprofloxacin or coamoxiclav
If pregnant - cefalexin
Gentamycin if severe
Prostatitis
Ciprofloxacin
Epididmyo-orchitis
Uti cause = ofloxacin
If sti - ceftriazone and doxycycline add azithromycin if gonorrhoea
Ureteric stones
If less than 5 mm - hydration, watch and wait then try nifedipine
Tamulosin - alpha 1 blocker or EWSL
Benign prostatic hyperplasia
5 alpha reductase inhibitor - stops testosterone conversion - finasteride
Tamulosin - alpha 1
TURP/ TUIP - trans urethral resection / incision prostate
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, void twice, relax whilst voiding
Prostate cancer
If over 70 - radical prostatectomy
Orchidectomy
LHRH - Goserelin
Androgen receptor blocker - flutamide
Bladder cancer
T1 - transurethral resection of bladder tumour
T2-3 radical cystectomy
T4 palliatiom
Renal cancer
Nephrectomy
Temsirolimus
Testicular cancer
