What is a Risk Assessment?
A risk assessment is a thorough evaluation of the operations to be conducted and the potential risk to all personnel involved.
What is a Comms plan?
A Communications Plan involves the coordination of communication strategies between participants in an operation, both in the air and on the ground. This plan includes several components such as designating ground contact personnel, using air-to-ground radios (VHF or FM), assigning discreet frequencies (channels), and incorporating visual signals (like flags, hand signals, lights, or flares) to halt filming in case of lost communications or inability to use radios. Additionally, it includes abort signals, both audible and visual, to halt filming in the event of unforeseen circumstances or safety hazards.
